The Klippedrift was the main river through a big farm with a lot of waste land. Later on there established a approximately 10 farm on both sides of the little river. In the early days this area was used for sheep and beef. Later on when the irrigation came the most farms switched over to dairy farms. Klippedrift14/Soetfontein is one of them.
